Advance Australia Fair

Advance Australia Fair er Australiens officielle nationalsang. Den bruges såvel som vores egen nationalsang - Der er et yndigt land - til højtideligheder og store sportsbegivenheder. Den blev valgt efter en folkeafstemning i 1977 hvor alternativerne var Waltzing Matilda, Song of Australia og Australiens daværende nationalsang, God Save the Queen. God Save the Queen benyttes stadig ved begivenheder med kongelig deltagelse. Udover den officielle nationalsang anvendes Banjo Pattersons Waltzing Matilda ofte som uofficiel nationalsang.

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free,
We've golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia fair.
