U.S. import prices unchanged in June; export prices decline 0.5%

Prices for U.S. imports were unchanged in June after a decrease of 0.2 percent the previous month. U.S. export prices fell 0.5 percent in June following a 0.7-percent decline in May. Over the past year, import prices increased 1.6 percent and export prices advanced 0.7 percent.

Export air passenger fares fell 2.5 percent for the year ended in May 2024, due in part to an 11.6-percent decrease in Latin American/Caribbean and a 6.1-percent decrease in Asian fares. Import air passenger fares also fell, decreasing at a rate of 1.6 percent over the past 12 months. read more »
