💼 In July, we announced that the Bosch Group plans to acquire the global #HVAC solutions business for residential and light commercial buildings from Johnson Controls and Hitachi. 📊 Last week, Frank Meyer, member of the Bosch board of management, responsible for our energy and building business sector and our CEO Jan Brockmann had the opportunity of meeting David Budzinski, his leadership team and their associates in the US and Japan. During two hybrid town hall meetings, they presented our company, our heritage, and our ambitions. 🤝 These meetings were focused on fostering open dialogue and listening – learning about the teams, their ideas, and what drives their passion. There is still a long way to go before we are all coming together, but nevertheless the more we engage in dialogue now, the better positioned we'll be to strengthen our collaboration once we receive approval from the antitrust authorities. 💚 Jan Brockmann is convinced: “With our successful heating technology in Europe, we already have a strong team and a sound foundation. Now is the right time for a bold step toward a global presence. Together, we will be able to build on strong, well-established brands. We are looking forward to shaping the future of the Bosch Home Comfort Group with our future colleagues and their innovations and ideas.”

New generation of wallboxes for efficient and fast charging 🚗 For many households, the wallbox is an easy and convenient way to charge an electric or hybrid vehicle overnight. The new generation of #wallboxes from our brands Buderus Deutschland and Bosch Home Comfort can now charge even faster and more efficiently, thanks to the integration of the Bosch energy management system and intelligent phase cut-off.   🔋 Designed for easy integration into home energy systems, the Bosch wallboxes use intelligent phase cut-off technology to optimize charging efficiency, particularly when using self-generated solar power.   🚀 With a charging capacity of up to 11 kW the new generation of wallboxes can charge vehicles up to five times faster than a conventional household socket, making it a highly #efficient choice for electric vehicle owners.   🧠 Like the heat pump, home ventilation and other connected Bosch appliances, the wallboxes can be controlled via the Bosch energy management system. It intelligently distributes self-generated solar power to other household consumers. This smart combination of #photovoltaics, heat pump, wallbox and an energy management system helps to save energy and money.

👉 From September 6-10, 2024, the world's largest consumer #electronics show IFA Berlin will take place in Berlin. At our booth in H1.1-102, the Bosch Home Comfort Group will present #smart solutions for the fully electrified home. 🏡 The product #innovations include the new range of energy-efficient air-to-water heat pumps, the quietest heat pumps ever made by Bosch. In combination with the Bosch #energy #management system, which intelligently distributes self-generated solar power to electrical consumers in the home, it saves up to 60% of previous electricity costs. 💨 In Berlin, the Bosch Home Comfort Group will present numerous innovations that are powered #sustainably by self-generated electricity. These include the new generation of single-split air conditioners. Thanks to an optional grid-compatible interface and monitoring via the Bosch HomeCom Easy app, these air conditioners are subsidized in Germany in a similar way to air-to-water heat pumps. 🌬️ Fresh air lovers should take a look at the range of Bosch air purifiers on show in Berlin. Winner of the test and recommended as an "environmental tip" by the German consumer organization Stiftung Warentest, the Air 4000 air purifier achieves top #performance in air #purification and #ventilation.

🔉 Quiet by design: Achieving the balance between #efficiency and #acoustic #performance for our heat pumps   ⚖️ Regulating the noise level of heat pumps is essential, especially across Europe, where various national laws ensure public and environmental protection. At the Bosch Home Comfort Group, Alexander Merzkirch and his team face the challenge of finding the best solution between noise level, cost, size and weight.   🎙️ In a specially designed #sound chamber at the Wernau plant in Germany, the team around Alexander uses several microphones, to capture the acoustic #footprint of our heat pumps, focusing on minimizing #noise of the compressor and the fan. In addition to sound levels, the sound's pleasantness is also evaluated.    💡 The results? Olympic handball medalist gets efficient and sustainable heating system.   🏠 Meet Patrick Wiencek, a professional handball player and medal winner at the Olympic Games, who lives with his family in Molfsee, Germany. After buying their home six years ago, it was time for an upgrade to their heating system.   🔧 They carefully considered their options and chose a solution from our brand Buderus Deutschland. 🏘️ Heat pumps on the rooftop? An innovative heating solution in Passau.   🏢 A residential building in Passau, Germany, has been brought up to the latest energy-#efficient standards with the heating technology from our brand Bosch Home Comfort. Given that the building is part of a social housing project in an area with neighbouring buildings, two key requirements for a new heating system were identified: affordability and a quiet operation.   💚 With the extensive product portfolio of the Bosch Home Comfort Group, we are able to deliver tailored solutions for multi-family homes and their specific needs.   💡 In this case, two #monoblock air-to-water heat pumps, operating in cascade mode, were installed on the building’s rooftop. These two Compress 5000 AW heat pumps provide the 19 units of the building with sustainable heat for #heating and warm water. The system is further supported by two freshwater stations FlowFresh FF27 and an electric boiler Tronic Heat 3500, which supports during peak loads to ensure sufficient hot water production.   Check out this video to discover more about this rooftop solution (English subtitles available):

Check the Bosch air-to-water-heat pump’s #sound level with two interactive tools!   💤 The noise level in the neighborhood plays an important role when it comes to a good night's sleep, especially in densely populated urban areas.    💡 How much noise a heat pump generates during operation depends on various factors such as the sbsurface, the type of installation or the exhaust air flow. The latest range of air-to-water #heatpumps from our brand Bosch Home Comfort has been designed with this in mind and is particularly "quiet".   🍃 But how audible is "quiet" in the neighbourhood? The interactive Bosch sound tool makes it easy to find out.
