This morning, we published our half-year results for 2024, providing an update on the operational and financial performance for the first half of the year. Our gross margin from operations showed a major improvement YoY, as we focussed on operational efficiencies and our in-house production capacities. While sales came in lower than last year, we have seen YoY growth in key segments, underscoring our commitment to navigating the challenging market conditions and driving toward future sustainable growth. We are pleased to announce that Alexander Masharov has been appointed as Cabka's Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He joins Cabka as of 1 August 2024 to allow for a seamless CEO succession. He will succeed Tim Litjens, who announced his intention to step down and leave Cabka by the end of the third quarter of 2024. Alexander transitions to Cabka from a previous CEO role, bringing with him vast experience in leading global teams, deep expertise in the plastics industry, and a strong background in commercial operations. He has a proven track record of driving innovation and accomplishing significant milestones in profitable growth. Take off the lids before throwing the jars in the glass container. The lids should go in the recycling container. In principle, modern glass processing plants can sort out these closures and subsequently recycle them, but this also requires higher energy consumption. Therefore, it is better to separate them beforehand. If in doubt, however, it is better to leave the lids on the waste glass when disposing of it instead of placing them next to or on top of the glass container.
