A key for that important feature is the inductive charging system, consisting of a primary coil in the base and the secondary one in the toothbrush. Diotec's Z1SMA47 zener diodes are installed in the charging base. The input circuit is as simple as clever: It is a capacitive power supply and an oscillator supplying the transmission coil. Part of the power supply is the Z1SMA47, a 1.5 W / 47 V Zener in a DO-214AC/SMA package. This device allows to meet the EU and US "Energy Star" requirement of less than 1 W of standby power. Automotive Auxiliary Drive Using Diotec's Power MOSFET DI100N10PQ-AQ When designing automotive auxiliary drives, it is always critical to meet the best compromise between size and efficiency. Increased efficiency by low RDSon values saves energy and reduces heat generation, which in consequence increases reliability and lifetime. MOSFETs with low RDSon require however big die sizes and thus case outlines, like the traditional D-PAK or D²PAKs. Both are not really suitable for space saving board assemblies. The QFN5x6 package is the ideal solution for these automotive design challenges. It measures 5 mm by 6 mm at just 1 mm of height, and offers anyway an ultimate electrical performance due to low package resistance and inductance. The thermal performance of this package is equivalent to that of the standard packages listed above. The DI100N10PQ-AQ from Diotec Semiconductor is a 100 V N-channel Power MOSFET ready to deliver highest current demands of up to 80 A. Its very low on-state resistance of typically 4.5 mOhm helps to reduce power loss and thus junction temperature. Measuring unit for air quality control, powered by Low Dropout  Voltage Regulator LDI8119-3.3EN We all love "fresh air," because breathing in good air has a positive effect on our well-being and health in every aspect. At the workplace or in schools, certain values, such as 500-1000 ppm, are recommended to keep the ability to concentrate as "high" as possible. A too-high carbon dioxide value would lead to more tiredness and a loss of concentration. Substances such as harmful building materials, urban smoke emission pollution, or mixed gases can also be unpleasant. With a "smart" room air measuring device, sensors measure the current concentration of CO2 or VOCs and control room ventilation by calculating a target value. Diotec's LDI8119-3.3EN, Low dropout voltage regulator for constant DC voltage regulation and protection against voltage overshoot. It is assembled in the SOT-23-5 case outline and offers a high output current with shutdown. It provides 3.3 V with +/- 1% tolerance at up to 500 mA of output current.
