Our journey begins in the heart of #production – the melting plant. At KALDEWEI, we are proud to be the only #bath manufacturer that crafts our own enamel. This process starts with raw materials heated to over 1200°C in blazing drum furnaces, forming a unified mass that cools rapidly to become glass granulate, also known as enamel frit. The frit is then grounded into a fine slurry, laying the foundation for the coating of our products. At the core of our production lies our ultra-modern press line. Here, advanced robotics and deep drawing technology work in perfect harmony, producing up to 300 pieces per hour, depending on the model. Our MEISTERSTÜCK production is where cutting-edge technology meets skilled craftsmanship, with each piece receiving meticulous attention. Support elements are precisely assembled, and every weld seam is polished to perfection by both machine and hand. Quality and #sustainability are ingrained in every step of our production process. After thorough cleaning, our raw products are coated with a base enamel that ensures corrosion protection and impact resistance. At 850°C, steel and enamel fuse into an inseparable unit.
