Last Thursday, in a prestigious ceremony with over 150 international guests in Luxembourg, AUTOBEST.org, the group of 32 European motor journalists, handed over their awards for the best achievements in automotive technology.   The new Lotus technology was seen as a revolution in the industry: “#LOTUS is the winner of #SMARTBEST2024 award for its #HyperOS system. The Lotus HyperOS system is genuinely cutting-edge, using the latest technology from Qualcomm and Epic Games. The innovative dual-chip system enables server-level computing power, for rapid processing and zero-lag operation. Crucially, it has enormous capacity for continuous improvement over the lifetime of the car, through over-the-air updates, which will allow this groundbreaking system to develop even further. This ensures it stays true to the Lotus ethos of continuous development as well as the sporting British luxury brand’s reputation for offering the very latest in technology. It is a first for Lotus winning an award from AUTOBEST Jury in the last two decades. And this prize is about the best latest connected tech on board of the cars”, wrote AUTOBEST in their press release.    The award was handed over to Serino Angellotti, who was impressed by the detailed work of the jury members: “We are honoured to receive the award for our #HyperOS Smart Cabin System. We strongly believe that we are on the right path to ensuring that the drivers and passengers of our Lotus products receive the most immersive, intelligent, and seamless cabin experience, while also guaranteeing the highest level of accessibility in the safest way possible.”   Frank ( Frank-H.) Klaas, Head of PR in Germany and based in LTIC, praised the work of #AUTOBEST: “We strongly support the activities and engagement of the AUTOBEST group. As LOTUS, we stand for innovation and technology in the world of modern mobility. Having an international group of independent experts like AUTOBEST is important for us and the industry. We highly value the feedback and exchange with these experts from so many European countries!”

It was a great honor to be part of the #FutureTechDay organised by the Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V. and present #Lotus in the heart of Berlin!     Established in October 2018 in Raunheim, Germany, we at Lotus Tech Innovation Centre GmbH have always identified ourselves as a start-up with a great brand heritage. With much trust in the German automotive industry, the setup of a R&D centre of Lotus is of strategical importance to revive the brand with a wider range of products.   It was inspiring to bring speeches from established industrial leaders and the meetup with start-ups together. We really appreciate the continuous efforts that Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V. is making to create networking plattforms and promote the prosperity of the industry.
