Mid of August, 18 young participants from the Juntos Sabemos Mais! program had the opportunity to visit the Siegwerk Brasil factory and learn more about the company's operations, from the administrative areas to the laboratories, and the entire logistics and production operations.   This was a very special day for the young people and employees of the company, who prepared with great care to give their full attention to this important visit.   #JuntosSabemosMais! #VisittoSiegwerkBrasil #CSR

In early August, colleagues from Siegwerk’s Siegburg office visited the Hans Alfred Keller Elementary School to teach students about the benefits of a Circular Economy. The school offers an all-day program for students, including lunch, afternoon activities, and dedicated homework tutoring during vacation supervision. As part of this afternoon care program, a small sustainability workshop was held for the children. After a brief, child-friendly introduction to Siegwerk, 15 children aged 5 to 10 years examined various printed films displayed on their tables. These films featured familiar supermarket motifs, such as iced tea. By touching, listening, and observing, the children quickly identified the differences between normal transparent foil and aluminum foil. They also actively participated in the “shrink sleeve” process, cutting out label-sized films and using a hairdryer to shrink them onto bottles like a second skin. The excitement peaked when the “magic bath” was used to demonstrate how to de-ink packaging. All participants thoroughly enjoyed the all-day program. In August, Rodrigo Silva, Head of Technology Brazil & South LATAM, represented Siegwerk Brazil at the “Brasil Packaging Summit 2024”. With his lecture “Competitiveness through efficiency and leadership in Circular Economy solutions” he had the opportunity to present HorizonNOW, Siegwerk’s sustainability strategy, with the various solutions in product families to meet the new expectations of circular packaging and cooperate with environmental care.
