Super pumped to be hosting the SASLI/Delta conference this week, taking the university students through the Deltas approach to venture building in a 2 day crash course. Today we kicked off the Extra '24 conference presented by The Delta and Susan and Andreas Struengmann Leadership Initiative and WOW was it an epic day! We workshopped problem statements with the teams, ran multiple ideations and worked on refining their ideas. Tomorrow we have some amazing guest speakers coming to impart some words of wisdom as well as some fantastic workshops run by the Delta team. It was such a great experience being a part of this initiative and I'm truly excited to see where these university students are heading! Onwards and upwards 🚀

What an extraordinary start to EXTRA ’24! Our laureates are brimming with energy and excitement as we launch our program. EXTRA ’24 is making history at SBF as our FIRST exclusive access to unparalleled opportunities to learn entrepreneurial mindset and the @students for a better future power skills! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝟮𝟰? Our SASLI laureates are part of 12 innovative teams collaborating to identify significant problems affecting their team or community. They are working to develop viable business ideas addressing these issues, complete with a clear value proposition, business model, market analysis, and a final pitch to leading entrepreneurs, founders, and funders in South Africa on day 3! 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 Our very own extraordinary Halli Manolakos and Shivani Ghai kicked off the day with an overview of the next three days, helping laureates understand the “why” behind EXTRA ’24 and the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset. This mindset is an invaluable asset for young professionals and businesses globally. Laureates incubated their ideas and evolved their pitches in teams, working with our collaborative partner, The Delta team, to break down problem statements and ensure their solutions are viable. To close an extraordinary day, our laureates and the team at Students for a Better Future dedicated 67 minutes of their time in honor of Nelson Mandela, make hundreds of sandwiches for children in support of our partner organization, A Reaching Hand. The day concluded with a CEO dinner to honor all the extraordinary laureates who are shining the torch bright! EXTRA ’24 is more than just a workshop; it’s a transformative experience where participants consolidate power skills, incubate innovative ideas, and develop a resilient entrepreneurial mindset. 📢  Day One Highlights from the SASLI Conference 2024! Today we had an incredible start to our Susan and Andreas Struengmann Leadership Initiative #SASLIConference as we kicked off with dynamic ideation sessions. We had the privilege of working with 80+ bright and motivated students who came together to tackle real-world problems they face daily. It was truly inspiring to witness the passion and determination these students displayed throughout the sessions.
