Ryan Serhant was feeling a little feisty when he stopped by this morning’s episode of Andy Cohen‘s Sirius XM radio show Andy Cohen Live.

Cohen kicked off their chat by grilling Serhant on all things Owning Manhattan — the popular new Netflix show that follows the real estate mogul and his company’s agents.

Serhant said his new series is a “different format” than Million Dollar Listing New York, which he starred in for 10 years.

“So is this more in the genre of Selling Sunset?” Cohen asked, to which Serhant replied, “No.”

Cohen then wondered if the format was closer to Million Dollar Listing, but Serhant quickly fired back, “Yeah, I think you should watch it.”

The Bravo icon tucked his tail between his legs and promised to watch the show before Serhant appears on tonight’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, telling his guest, “Yes, I’m going to. I am. I will watch it before tonight. I’m sorry.”

Cohen added, “Wow. I’m getting it from Ryan today.”

The two men laughed off the awkward moment, before Serhant explained more about Owning Manhattan’s unique style.

“It is so different. My goal with it was if I’m going to do another reality TV show — because we did a lot with Bravo — and if we’re gonna do one for Netflix is it’s gonna be 3.0,” he said. “It’s gonna be a new genre and people have to put down their phone.”

Serhant continued, “How do you get people to put down their phone? And so it’s got to hit them hard,” noting that the show features a “score with an orchestra” and “drone shots.”

The star described the series as a “documentary” that takes place “over eight episodes.”

“It’s incredibly real and very messy and I think that’s why people have responded to it so well,” he added. “Because you don’t watch it saying, ‘This is produced.’ Everybody knows what you get with reality now so you have to shake it up.”

Andy Cohen Live airs every weekday at 10/9c on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy station.
