Senior UI/UX Web Designer

We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Web Designer to join our team as Freelancer with an opportunity to group, remote basis (up to 5-10 hours per week, with potential for growth). This role will collaborate with stakeholders to create visually appealing, user-centric web designs while maintaining high standards of usability and accessibility. As a senior member of the team, you will bring advanced design and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of web design and branding principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand goals, objectives, and user needs for each project, applying user-centered design principles.

  • Content analysis: Evaluate and organize written text on each page, considering information architecture, content strategy, and visual hierarchy.

  • Design intuitive layouts: Create user-friendly page layouts that balance content, visuals, and optimal user experience, with a strong focus on responsive, mobile-first design principles.

  • Develop visually appealing designs: Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and utilize consistent design systems, maintaining high standards of aesthetics across all pages.

  • Ensure accessibility and compliance: Ensure designs meet WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 accessibility guidelines, delivering inclusive and accessible user experiences.

  • Design iteration and feedback: Revise and refine designs based on stakeholder and team feedback, striving for the best possible outcomes.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with development, content, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery by providing web-optimized assets that are easy for developers to implement. You’ll need to understand and select the best asset formats for various purposes, ensuring efficiency and quality in execution.

  • Maintain design assets: Create and manage design assets, such as icons, graphics, and style guides, ensuring consistency across platforms.

  • Advanced communication skills: Ability to work with clients directly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

  • Iterative design: Expertise in revising designs based on constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Asset creation: Proficiency in creating and maintaining design assets for websites and marketing materials.

Benefits:

This is a freelance position to start with around 5-10 hours of work per week available.
