The first all-electric VW ID.7, Volkswagen’s “flagship model,” will be offered in two trims in the US – here are the details.

In a double global debut, Volkswagen introduced the new ID.3 GTX and ID.7 GTX Tourer as it expands its range of sporty EVs.

Volkswagen Group announced a new addition to its ID line of electric vehicles today, launching the ID.7 Tourer – a variant of the original fastback saloon with added cargo space and some enticing range. The estate car, better known in the States as a station wagon, arrives as one of the only all-electric options in the upper mid-size category in Europe.

Volkswagen’s EV woes in China continue. After launching last week, the brand’s flagship ID.7 electric sedan received only 300 orders in three days.

Amid an intensifying EV price war in China, Volkswagen is launching a new flagship electric sedan. VW’s joint venture (JV), FAW-Volkswagen, officially opened ID.7 Vizzion pre-orders in China starting at 237,700 yuan ($33,200).

For the second time this week, Volkswagen is halting production of some of its most popular electric cars. VW extended its production pause to a second plant in Germany, impacting the ID.4 and ID.7.

A new Volkswagen EV will begin rolling out next year. Volkswagen revealed the first images of the ID.7 Tourer, the brand’s first electric station wagon.

Volkswagen opened pre-orders for its flagship ID.7 electric sedan on Thursday for European customers. The new flagship EV will start at around $62,000 (€56,995) with up to 385 miles (621 km) of WLTC range.

Volkswagen has begun production on its new flagship ID.7 electric car at its German plant in Emden. The ID.7 is the largest VW electric model yet and the second global MEB-based car behind the ID.4.

Following a smaller than anticipated demand for its EVs built near its Emden facility in Northern Germany, Volkswagen is reducing its production output and giving its EV employees an extended vacation… some of those breaks will be permanent.
