Batiffol studied from 1878 at the priest seminary ''[[Église Saint-Sulpice, Paris|Saint-Sulpice]]'' in Paris, was ordained in 1884 and continued his studies at the ''Institut catholique'' in Paris and at the ''Ecole des Hautes Etudes''.
