On 31 May 2013, Khan married Faryal Makhdoom at the [[Waldorf Astoria]] in [[New York City]]. In September 2013, Khan stated his plans to 'make Bolton better', by investing £5{{nbsp}}million into a wedding and banqueting hall in Washington Street, [[Deane, Greater Manchester|Deane]].
