Arkoosh was appointed to the Montgomery County Commission in January 2015 filing a vacancy left by current Attorney General Josh Shapiro. She won a four-year term in November 2015 and again in 2019. In 2016, she was unanimously elected to serve as Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. Arkoosh was the Vice Chair until she was elected as Chair. Montgomery County, Pennsylvania is located in southeast Pennsylvania and is the third most populous county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
