Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights: Difference between revisions

By 1982, persisting hostility to Ruhashyankiko's handling of the Armenian issue led the Sub-Commission to consider a new report on genocide.<ref name=Schabas-466>Schabas, p. 466</ref> In 1983, it requested that the Commission On Human Rights ask the Economic and Social Council [ECOSOC] to appoint a new Special Rapporteur to undertake the task.
