[[Harpers Ferry, West Virginia|Robert Harper]] founded the community of [[Harpers Ferry]] in the mid-18th century. Robert Harper was born in 1718 in [[Oxford Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania|Oxford Township]] near [[Philadelphia]], [[Pennsylvania]].
