Baky: Difference between revisions

The Baky is a left [[tributary]] of the Yana. It has its sources in the [[Khayrdakh Ridge]] (Хайырдахский кряж), part of the [[Kular Range]] of the [[Verkhoyansk Range|Verkhoyansk]] system. The river flows first northeastwards and then roughly in an eastern direction. It [[meander]]s within a wide valley in its lower course. [[Osokhtokh]] village is located by the banks of the river in its last stretch. The main tributaries of the Baky are the {{convert|35|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Tulluk (Туллук), the {{convert|33|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Yuyuteer (Ююттээр) and the {{convert|33|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Tirekhteekh (Тирэхтээх) on the right, as well as the {{convert|45|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Chyuyompe-Salaa (Чюёмпэ-Салаа) and the {{convert|79|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Kharyly-Salaa (Харылый-Салаа) on the left.<ref name=gvr/> There are 80 lakes in the river basin.
