List of Farm to Market Roads in Texas (300–399): Difference between revisions

RM 386 was designated on June 11, 1945, running from US 87 in Mason to Pontotoc, with a spur extending into Fredonia. Shortly after that, the road was changed to go from US 87 in Mason via Fredonia to Pontotoc, eliminating the spur. The section from Fredonia to Pontotoc was previously part of [[Texas State Highway 81|SH 81]] (which ran from Llano to Brady). On October 29, 1948, the road was extended east {{convert|1.8|mi|km}} to Hutchins School. On July 14, 1949, the road was extended to SH 29 west of Llano, replacing [[Farm to Market Road 968|FM 968]]. The section in San SabaLlano County could have been '''Farm to Market Road 386''' ('''FM 386''').<ref>{{cite web |url=https://publicdocs.txdot.gov/minord/MinuteOrderDocLib/003676387.pdf}}</ref>, but would have been changed by 1952. On May 28, 1952, the section from Fredonia to SH 29 was transferred to [[Farm to Market Road 734|FM 734]] (which became part of SH 71 on September 1, 1965), shortening the road to its current route.
