The park borders [[Lincoln Park High School (Chicago, Illinois)|Lincoln Park High School]] and features many statues fashioned after characters in ''[[The Wonderful Wizard of Oz|The Wizard of Oz]]'', a book which was authored by Chicago reporter [[L. Frank Baum]].
