m It is not Shiism that allows marriage for girls from the age of 9, but only the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, based not on Sharia, but on pseudo-scientific knowledge of Ayatollah Khomeini, so I replaced the age of marriage 9 with the general Shiite doctrine of the age of 14.

The proposal to amend the 2006 Act was placed in Lok Sabha in December 2021. It was referred to The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports (EWCY&S) under the Chairpersonship of Dr. Vinay P. Sahasrabuddhe. The Bill proposes to amend the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, to reinforce its application in relation to marriage; bring women at par with men in terms of marriageable age; prohibit child marriage; make consequential amendments to the other laws relating to marriage; and other connected matters. The PCMA prevails in India till the new Amendment is passed.In short, the minimum age of marriage is 21 years in case of males, and 18 years in case of females. India has been at the forefront in the battle against child marriage since 1929, when the practice of child marriage (below 14 for girls and 18 for boys) was first legally prohibited through the Child Marriage Restraint Act, 1929. The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 replaced the 1929 Act, with the same minimum age limits.
On 30th of November, 2022, The High court of Jharkhand reported that a Muslim Woman can marry a person of her choice after attaining 15 years.
