School systems such as those in [[Toronto]] also had their own SRO programs, witht engaged armed and uniformed police officers at schools during school days. The Toronto SRO program was set up in 2008, the [[Toronto District School Board]] (TDSB) and the [[Toronto Catholic District School Board]] (TCDSB), in collaboration with the [[Toronto Police Service]], implemented the SRO Program by permanently placing armed, uniformed police officers in secondary schools.
