Garis' son, [[Roger Garis]], penned a biography of the writing Garis family ''My Father Was Uncle Wiggily'' (McGraw-Hill, 1966), as well as writing several books under his own name, and pseudonyms. His daughter, Cleo F. also wrote a 3 volume series of mysteries, published by A. L. Burt.
