To be sure, a bad close is worse than no close since it just leads to angry relistings and trips to DRV, but the length of time on getting a closure is getting extreme, so it might be time to give it a try. While on a wikibreak, I noticed that the contents of [[:Category:Empty categories awaiting deletion]] are not updating and moving to speedy deletion after the 48 hours in the holding pen. I'm not able to figure this out right now. So if someone can look at this and get it working, that would be appreciated. A null edit seems to update the time and change the category when called for.
