Early Career
Savenaca Rawaca or Save a typical island boy was educated at Kubulau District School Bua. An incident with one of the school Head masters left Rawaca with no choice but to dropped out of school at the age of 11. Rugby was considered an amateur sports back in Bua where a lot of his uncle, relatives and fellow villages played sevens rugby as a form of socialising and interaction between other villages within the District of Kubulau on a social scale level.

In 2003 At the age of 12 his first rugby club was the Kuinivuaka Rugby Club, The club is formed by the 3 Villages on the Southern Coast of Bua mainly of Navatu, Namalata and Raviravi. The Kuinivuaka normally participate on the domestic sevens competition within the Bua,Cakaudrove West and Macuata region. Rawaca a winger the very youngest on the team proves that he can rub shoulders with players older than him.

One of his trademark skills growing up is the stiff-arm fend (known as a hand off or fend off.

He later moved to Nadroga in 2009 to stay with an uncle residing in Nadroga. where his rugby skills were fine tuned, crafted, discipline and molded to where he is today.
