Since this moment, Caicedo keeps writing several works, including short stories, theatral pieces and starts with his first novels.
 
It is in 1973 while he was traveling by the U.S, when Caicedo starts his best novel "[[!Qué viva la música¡]]". In 1974 writes the short story "Maternidad", which he agrees as his masterpiece. In the same year, Caicedo starts writing the magazine "Eye on cinema". In 1975 the final version of "!Qué viva la música¡" is ready and Caicedo hands out it to Colcultura with the object of publishing it.
