In August 2008, Adiyiah made the move to Europe, being signed by [[Tippeligaen|Norwegian top flight]] club [[Fredrikstad FK|Fredrikstad]] for a fee of only £100k (approx. €125k as of that date).<ref name="world soccer"/> He made his debut for the club in an away match against [[Aalesunds FK|Aalesund]], on 30 August.
