The channel was launched in 1995 as The History Channel.[1]

In 2008, a new logo was launched as part of a rebranding effort.[2]

The channel saw a major growth in 2011.[3]

"History 100", a documentary initiative, was announced in 2018.[4]

In 2021, the channel ordered a documentary series covering the history of the Star Trek franchise.[5]

Programmierung

The most popular programme of the channel is Vikings, which later renewed for several seasons and franchise.[6][7]
