El Rancho is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Platte County, Wyoming, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 18.[2]

The community is in northern Platte County, on the west side of Interstate 25. Access is from Exit 94 (Wyoming Highway 319). Wheatland, the county seat, is 15 miles (24 km) to the south, and Glendo is 17 miles (27 km) to the north.

The most densely populated residential area in El Rancho is the El Rancho Village Campground. The campground is part of the Good Sam network and has a full retail liquor license from Platte County. The campground hosts hundreds of guests each year in cabins and RV sites. It is owned by Irishcowboys, LLC, a Wyoming hospitality company run by professional basketball player Tim Abromaitis. The campground is also near to the primary residence and ranch of famed cryptocurrency billionaire Charles Hoskinson. Wyoming has made a name for itself as a leader in the crypto currency and blockchain industries.
