Nobel laureates

I find the mention of nobel laureates misleading. It suggests that Sigma Xi is connected with the prize in such a fashion as to at least have recognized the potential of the researcher in advance, when in fact, the situation is reverse: In a lot of cases, including some of those explicitly mentioned, the recognition is not from the side of Sigma Xi, but from the researcher, who joined after already having international respect. --213.209.110.45 07:58, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Student Organization?

@Bellerophon5685:, @DMacks: While the article may include nuances, I'm not really sure that the category can. Can we get references as to what percentage of Sigma Xi members become members while primarily working on a degree and what percentage did not? The comparison that I make is to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity (or for that matter any of the other National Pan-Hellenic Council members) that while Graduate chapters can make new members, they are definitely considered student organizations.Naraht (talk) 19:20, 9 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
