Shuttlewood

A former Colliery village about 2 miles north of Bolsover, in Bolsover (district), Derbyshire. It is a quiet village with a local shop an a post office it also has a School called Brocley Primary School, it gets its name from two contributing factors they are; It is adjacent to Brockley Avenue and very close to brockley Woods.Shuttlewood is a famous village not only because of its mining heritage but also because along chesterfield Road their is a famous black spot area known umongst residents and people in the surrounding community.They also are lucky enough to have many facilities that no other village may have.

Centred on the crossroads, leading to; Bolsover-Mastin Moor and Clowne-Chesterfield.
