David Brendan Hopes (born 1953 in Akron, Ohio) is an American author, playwright, and poet. He is a professor of literature at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. His books and volumes of poetry have won him critical acclaim and his plays have been produced all over the world and he continues to be prolific. He is the author of Bird Songs of the Mesozoic,[1] Abbott's Dance , Man in Flight , Edward The King, 7 Reece Mews ,[2] A Dream of Adonis[3], A Sense of the Morning[4] and A Childhood in the Milky Way.[5]
