Bobtail squid species
This Bobtail squid is adorable, but is it really Euprymna scolopes? In most of the pictures I've seen, E. scolopes is light-colored and sort of whitish; the squid in your picture is a dark bluish-purple. It looks more like E. berryi to me... but I'm certainly no squidologist! If you're uncertain about the species too, maybe it would be better just to classify it as Euprymna sp. until an expert comes along? Vectornaut (talk) 02:43, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Comb jelly
Hi Nick -- It is a nice picture, but your comb jelly is a little pyrosome (a colonial salp) and not a ctenophore. beroe (talk) 20:34, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

During our eighth International Salon of photographic Art and our third Salon Photo-phylles, located in Pessac and in Bordeaux from February to May 2010 we wish to show the work of guest of honor photographers. Yours photographs retained our attention and we would be pleased to count you among our guests. If you agree to participate, we ask you to send us around ten pictures representatives of your work. These pictures can be printed on paper (maximum format 30 x 40 cm), but you also can send us high definition digital files. We will print your files on a calibrated professional machine. These files can be sent on a CDrom to the address located above, mailed at [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>_ or downloaded through links from a web site.
We would really appreciate a short note for presenting you and your work to the public and for printing on the catalogue.
Obviously, the pictures or the prints we will make of your submissions will be returned to you with the catalogue. Your postal fees will be reimbursed. We do not have a lot of money, but we will do our best to send you a small souvenir.
