Unecha (Russian: Унеча) is a town and the administrative center of Unechsky District of Bryansk Oblast, Russia, located on the Unecha River (the Dnieper's basin) 140 kilometers (87 mi) southwest of Bryansk. Population: 29,039 (2002 Census);[1] 28,583 (1989 Soviet census).[2]

Town status was granted to it in 1940.
