Devarakonda in Chittoor district 0f Andhra Pradesh : Devarakonda which is mentioned to be about 3 KM from Mogili village appears to be the local name given to a small hill ( Devara : God’s, Konda : hill), by the local people because a temple is situated on the hill. There is however a different village named Devarakonda in the Chinnagottigallu mandal of the Chittoor district. This village Devarakonda is located to the west of Tirupati on the Tirupati - Pileru highway, at a distance of about 43 KM. Thus the distance between the Mogili village of Bangarupalem Mandal and the Devarakonda of the Chinnagottigallu mandal of Chittoor district is about 100 KM.The PinCode of the village is 517194 and the postal headoffice is at Bhakrapet. This village is also perhaps named after a God's hill located nearby. It is reported that Lord Venkateswara was stationed on the hill along with his consort Bibi Nancharamma (a muslim lady) long ago, before his idol was shifted to the Tirumala Hills of Tirupati. There is no mention of any temple to Goddess Parvati nearby.
