Madeline S. Rooney (born July 7, 1997) is an American ice hockey player for Univ. of Minnesota Duluth and the American national team. She was the starting goaltender on the U.S. women's hockey team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang with a shootout victory in the final against Canada.

After two years of collegiate hockey, Rooney joined the U.S. Women's National Team in preparation for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
In high school, she played her senior season with the boys' varsity team.
She also won a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship.[1]
