This is a list of international presidential trips made by Emmanuel Macron, the 25th and current President of France. As of September 2024, Emmanuel Macron has made 56 presidential trips to 34 states internationally since his inauguration on 14 May 2017. National trips are not included. The number of visits per country where he travelled are:

The following are the international trips made by the President in 2017:

Land Areas visited Date(s) Details
  Deutschland Berlin 15 May Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Germany was his first international trip as president. He chose Germany as the first foreign trip of his presidency in a demonstration of a pro-European sign, as well as to follow the tradition of French presidents making their first international trip to Germany.[1] During his first full day in office, Macron met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.[2] The two leaders agreed to construct a plan to reform the European Union amidst the rise of right-wing populism and Euroscepticism.[3]
  Mali Gao 19 May Macron met with French troops committed to Operation Barkhane. This was his first trip outside Europe as president.[4]
  Belgien Brussels 25–26 May Macron attended the NATO summit, his first summit meeting as president. He held separate bilateral meetings with other heads of government, including U.S. President Donald Trump.[5]
  Italien Taormina 26–27 May Macron attended the 43rd G7 summit.[6] He held separate bilateral meetings with other heads of government, including British Prime Minister Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe.
  Marokko Rabat 14–15 June Macron met the king of Morocco, Mohammed VI during this private and friendly trip.[7]
  Belgien Brussels 22–23 June Macron attended in his first European Council. He held separate bilateral meetings with Angela Merkel, and the representants of the Visegrád Group.[8]
  Deutschland Berlin 29 June Emmanuel Macron met with other European heads of state and government, as part of the preparations for the G20 summit.[9]
  Mali Bamako 2 July Macron attends a security summit of the G5 Sahel to boost support for the creation of a regional counter-terror force.[10]
  Deutschland Hamburg 7–8 July Macron attended in the 2017 G20 Hamburg summit. He held separate bilateral meetings with other heads of government, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.[11]
  Schweiz Lausanne 10–11 July Macron travelled to Lausanne to visit the International Olympic Committee for the presentation of the Paris bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics. During this trip Macron was accompanied by his wife Brigitte, the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo and the chairs of the bid, Bernard Lapasset and Tony Estanguet.[12]
  Italien Trieste 12–13 July Macron attended in the 2017 Western Balkans Summit. One day before, he met German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni.[13]
  Österreich Salzburg 23 August Macron met Austrian Chancellor.[14]
  Rumänien Bucarest 24 August Macron met Romanian president.[15]
  Bulgarien Varna 25 August Macron met Bulgarian President and Prime Minister in Euxinograd Palace.[16]
  Luxemburg Luxembourg City, Niederanven 28 August Macron meet Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. Then there are political talks at Senningen Castle with the head of government Xavier Bettel and then Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel.[17]
  Griechenland Athenes 6–7 September Macron paid a state visit in Greece where he called to rebuild European Union.[18]
  Vereinigte Staaten New York 18–20 September Macron participates to the 72th General Assembly of the United Nations and meet several head of states.[19]

28–29 September Macron attended the EU Digital Summit and held a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.[20] He then visited troops together with British Prime Minister Theresa May and Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas at Tapa Army Base.[21]
  Deutschland Frankfurt 10 October Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel attended the opening of the Frankfurt Book Fair.[22]

  Vereinigte Arabische Emirate Abu Dhabi 8–9 November Macron inaugurated the Louvre Abu Dhabi.[23]
  Saudi-Arabien Riyadh 9 November Macron made an emergency Saudi Arabia trip over Lebanon war fears.[24]
  Deutschland Bonn 15 November Macron attended the opening ceremony of the 2017 United Nations Climate Change Conference.[25]
  Schweden Göteborg 17 November Macron attended the Union European social summit.[26]
  Burkina Faso Ouagadougou 28–29 November Macron met with the Burkinabe President, did a speech about Africa, exchanged with students and visited a solar-powered plant.[27]
  Côte d'Ivoire Abidjan 29–30 November Macron attended the Africa-European Union summit.[27]
  Ghana Accra 30 November Macron met with the Ghanean president and visited some local start-ups.[27]
  Algerien Algiers 6 December Macron made a work and friendship visit in Algeria.[28]
  Katar Doha 7 December Macron paid an official visit to Qatar.[29]

During the visit of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, to Paris on July 16, 2017, Macron said that he would visit his counterpart in Israel.[39]

During the visit of the President of Guatemala, Jimmy Morales, to Paris on June 8, 2017, Macron said that he would visit his counterpart in Guatemala.[40]

On 18 July 2018, during a press conference with Serbia's president Aleksandar Vučić, President Macron confirmed he would pay a visit to Serbia later that year, possibly for Armistice Day.[41]
