Earth's highest mountain above sea level, located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas
Mount Everest is the world's tallest mountain at 29,029ft (8,848m). It straddles the border of China and Nepal and can be visited from either side:
- Everest Base Camp Trek through Khumbu (Sagarmatha National Park), the more commonly visited region on the Nepalese (southern) side of the mountain
- Qomolangma, the less visited nature reserve on the Tibetan (northern) side
