  1. (obsolete, 1880–1940s) sweater, sweatshirt, jumper (calque of English sweater)
  2. (historical) sweater, a subcontractor under a sweating system (Schwitzsystem)
  3. (gaming, slang) somebody who puts too much effort into his virtual success and therefore ignores having fun
  4. (rare) literally someone who sweats (in any context, such as in bed when bedclothes are discussed)
