Listing order for ambassadorial posts (infobox)

[edit]

I've noticed that the infobox lists Huntsman as the 9th U.S. Ambassador to Russia and the 9th to China. On review of List of ambassadors of the United States to Russia and List of ambassadors of the United States to China, this is only half correct. It is technically true that he was the 9th U.S. ambassador to the Russian Federation since that entity was established in 1991, and he was also the 9th U.S. ambassador to the People's Republic of China since the U.S. established diplomatic relations with the PRC in 1979. However, the United States sent a few dozen ambassadors to prior Russian regimes (first the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union) almost since independence, and sent 11 ambassadors to the Republic of China between 1935 and 1979. Given this discrepancy, I'm wondering if the "order" field should be left blank in the infobox (and those of any other U.S. ambassador to Russia or China that has such a field).
