Nice work!

[edit]

Looks very impressive, (I assume) WindsorFan. Much neater and better laid out than the old summaries.82.3.78.201 02:38, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well it's now just a matter of people tweaking the summaries. I'll get around to making the ratings references inline citations at some point. WindsorFan 08:04, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hard-Gating

[edit]

Please add some clue about the meaning of the Series 5, Episode 1 title "Hard-Gating". Does this make more sense to British viewers? Is it a play on InvestiGating?-71.174.185.30 (talk) 02:26, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

MMR vaccine controversy

[edit]

After a single initial broadcast, the last two episodes of Series 5 (505 and 506) were officially withdrawn by BBC from ever being available by broadcast or DVD etc. ( www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/54268/judge-john-deed-season-5/ ) This is problematic both with regards to the primary content of those episodes, and confusing viewers who want to understand the longer story arcs of the personal relationships of the characters.

The official BBC episode list does still in 2017 acknowledge the withdrawn episodes, and summarize them (but does not mention in any way the controversy etc about the episodes). ( www.bbc.co.uk/drama/judge/episodes/judge_episodes_2006_feature.shtml )

THE BANNED EPISODES
"The following are links to two episodes of Judge John Deed, which were banned by the BBC for their content. We have received many requests from fans wanting to know how to view these missing episodes, so here they are."

The series writer G.F. Newman is adamant about continuing to provide access to the missing episodes, and links to online copies on his website.-71.174.175.199 (talk) 02:32, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The DVD packs sold in Australia omit Series 5 altogether and the pack with all the Series 6 episodes is labelled Series Five. Doug butler (talk) 06:30, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
