Translation of the word "Rempart"?

[edit]

"The name 'Remparts' means curtain walls in French."

Does anybody think that translation is necessary? Rampart is a word in English (it's even in the US national anthem) and I think its meaning is much clearer than "curtain wall", which sounds quite vague to me. If you ask native English speakers, most will be more familiar with the term rampart/rempart than curtain wall.90.181.65.139 (talk) 11:10, 2 December 2012 (UTC) "Remparts" translates as "fortifications", as old Quebec is still walled. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.80.19.198 (talk) 22:40, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Retired jerseys

[edit]

Can anyone find a source for this recent addition? I can find nothing on the QMJHL or Remparts' websites. Flibirigit 05:13, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hhere's the source but it's in french: [1]—Preceding unsigned comment added by Marc Antoine F. Perreault (talkcontribs) 23:13, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We cannot cite a blog as a source. I'm sure there should be something coming up on the official web site soon. Then it's no problem to add him. Flibirigit 06:11, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I finally found the real source from the QHJML league but in french. [[2]] Marc Antoine F. P. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marc Antoine F. Perreault (talkcontribs) 23:21, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I will add this on November 29. Flibirigit (talk) 20:16, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should be moved to Quebec Remparts

[edit]

We've got Montreal Canadiens & Quebec Nordiques. Therefore, we should have Quebec Remparts. GoodDay (talk) 15:05, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, should be moved. Masterhatch (talk) 15:20, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's been changed back. I'm surprised it took this long. GoodDay (talk) 20:49, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
