edit the article. this article contains inaccurate information. historians from Ukraine refuted the fake that the slave trade was allegedly the main profit of the Crimean Khanate. I repeat, Ukrainian historians! I gave references to these historians. 178.133.217.184 (talk) 01:57, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fake

[edit]

Fake. Russian propaganda to justify its imperialism and genocide of conquered peoples. Historians S. Hromenko, O. Hayvoronskyi, V. Vozgrin, G. Abdullayeva refuted the thesis that the main income of the Crimean Khanate was the slave trade. They noted that the main sources of income were agriculture, trade, crafts and the maritime industry. Also, in the Crimean Khanate, the rights of slaves were protected by the state, as the above-mentioned historians also pointed out, referring to historical documents: slavery could not last more than 6-7 years; a woman automatically became free if she gave birth to a child from her owner, this child also automatically became free; in the Crimea, they tried to treat the slaves well, so that in return the Crimean Tatar slaves in other countries would also be treated well; slaves were immediately freed if they converted to Islam. This was done for religious reasons and to maintain public order. 178.133.217.184 (talk) 02:57, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
