Sig

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that your signature is both black and in standard font. While this is fully within the signature rules, I found it a little more difficult to follow the flow of conversations that you are in (as it is a bit harder to pick out your sig form the rest of the text). Just something to consider, and by all means feel free to ignore me. Have a nice day. InsertCleverPhraseHere 09:50, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Virgin Atlantic Little Red GAN

[edit]

Hi SST. I just noticed that you nominated Virgin Atlantic Little Red for GA status. You certainly beat me to the punch on that one because I was going to wait until it ran on DYK on AFD before nominating it as I am the majority contributor. I've also noticed you're also in the WikiCup as well as me so if you need some help with any GARs or DYKs I'll be happy to oblige. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk)

AFD closure

[edit]

Hi SST, As I've said in the edit summary "Resolved" isn't valid in terms of the AFD bot - Withdrawn is fine but putting Resolved marks the AFD as "Unknown",
And I can't see how me amending your invalid closure is considered rude ? ..... I hadn't change your posts or whatever .... Only the outcome was changed.... Anywho as a compromise I've added "Resolved" next to the outcome,
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 15:35, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You never notified me of your edit, and changing the closure without changing my signature implies that I typed such text out, even though I did not. It is not up to you to decide how I should withdraw my AfD nomination. sst✈ 15:39, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the last edit made by AFD Bot was in 2006. I am curious as to how it would be relevant to my closure. sst✈ 15:41, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Nope I admit I should've asked first instead of changing it and I apologize for that, Nope it's not but I wasn't deciding the outcome as such I was simply amending it but infuture I'll obviously ask or notify you first,
Didn't even know there was an AFD bot here! , There's a thing on XTools that shows you your AFD !votes and how many you've participated in and what they were etc etc and I assume a bot somewhere here collects all that information,
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 16:08, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Page move on expert needed mucked up

[edit]

SSTflyer, @SMcCandlish:, @Callanecc:

From this page, [1], the expert-subject link leads to a blanked page with regard to template use content, here, [2].

Whatever was done in the course of the recent page move has disrupted links, and so access to template-use instructions, and so has disrupted editing. Please fix! Leprof 7272 (talk) 16:46, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate closure of Russian propaganda

[edit]

Hello SSTflyer, Since you participated in the discussion for Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2016_March_16#Russian_propaganda, it's very bad form to close the discussion yourself. Per WP:BADNAC: Non-admin closure is not appropriate when "the non-admin has demonstrated a potential conflict of interest, or lack of impartiality, by having expressed an opinion in the discussion or being otherwise involved." Since you yourself wanted Russian propaganda reverted, you have demonstrated a conflict of interest. Have patience and let an impartial editor close the discussion in due time. I'll let you fix the situation yourself and give you an opportunity to revert the WP:BADNAC. Thanks, -- Tavix (talk) 19:31, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Shuffling hooks in prep sets

[edit]

Hi, thanks for shuffling the hooks in Prep 2. Just for your information, you do not have to shuffle the credit lines; these can be inputted any old way and it will not affect the assigning of credits. Best, Yoninah (talk) 20:28, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Take a little time for thought

[edit]

I'd suggest you take a little time for yourself and think, why are you in such a hurry to delete fresh content you know nothing about, without trying to improve it or at least giving it time to be improved by others. You know, some of these articles could become pretty good in time - if people put a little more effort in building and little less in destruction. Think about it. --Idaeurooplane (talk) 18:20, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Brian Shaffer DYK hook

[edit]

Thanks for the review and the approval. As for the length of time it took ... I have been dealing with computer issues lately, as well some offline distractions, otherwise that one would probably have been done in the requisite five days. Daniel Case (talk) 02:01, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Placing move templates on pages

[edit]

Hi, you said "Placing the template on any page would prejudice to users who have that page on their watchlists, and to the alerts for projects tagged on that page. I ignored your requests because you have not provided any rationale other than WP:IDLI. SSTflyer 15:48, 1 April 2016 (UTC)"

Indeed, which is why when proposing to move a dab page, please place the template on the dab page and do not weight the discussion please. Thank you. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:11, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Placing an RM template on a disambiguation page would prejudice to users who have that disambiguation page on their watchlists, and to the alerts for WikiProject Disambiguation. Since disambiguation pages are more often than not less viewed and less noticed than the article to be moved onto the original title of the disambiguation page, obviously I would prejudice the discussion to the higher number of users.
