How things are seen from the Spanish/Galician POV is irrelevant; "regional" is perfectly valid (and official) term in ENGLISH sources, which are what count in the English wiki. undo Tag: Undo
  • curprev 21:2821:28, 23 February 2023Swamp Greetings talk contribs 1,761 bytes −269 The use of "regional" may be "easy to understand in English" but when used, it usually comes from habit (copy and paste from other sources). It's not proper. Using "regional" does not convey the actual significance of "autonomous community". Furthermore, it is not legal/official (Constitution or Statute of Autonomy) and does not feature in any primary (Galician) source. undo Tags: Undo Reverted

I'd also rather trust sources (both La Moncloa, this one and others: https://www.esn-eu.org/members/regional-government-galicia-department-social-inclusion) than a personal opinion undo Tags: Undo Reverted
  • curprev 21:1621:16, 23 February 2023Swamp Greetings talk contribs 1,761 bytes −269 Removed references to "regional government" as this is not an valid term (despite former Spanish Rajoy's administration having used it in some occasion - wrongly so). All proper official references to the Xunta are as "Goberno Galego" (Galician Government) or "Goberno de Galicia" (Government of Galicia). Also, both in the current Spanish Constitution and Galician Statute of Autonomy, the word "region" does not feature, rather the terms "historical nation" and "autonomous community" undo Tag: Reverted
