(It seems like he'll basically be a driver coach.) Also, Corey Heim will be a reserve driver for the team as well as 23XI Racing in 2024. It'll be interesting to see if he ends up making any starts and how he does in his Cup Series debut if it happens in 2024! https://www.jayski.com/2024/01/25/legacy-motor-club-signs-trevor-bayne-corey-heim-to-competition-roles-for-2024-season/ undo

It looks like JGR and Toyota were OK with letting him run this race in a Chevy (after all, it is his 2024 team). Hocevar will still drive the #42 at Martinsville and Phoenix (I wonder if he doesn't want to run the Cup race so he can concentrate on making the Truck Series championship 4 this weekend): https://www.jayski.com/2023/10/16/john-hunter-nemechek-in-the-no-42-at-homestead-miami-speedway/ undo

It'll be interesting to see how he does in his 2nd Cup Series start and if this could serve as an "audition" for a full-time ride in the series in 2024 if he performs well! undo

The #43 car also had a rocker box violation and Dave Elenz has also been suspended for the race at Pocono. Danny Efland will be the interim crew chief for the #43 car (he is the car's engineer). (Jerame Donley missed the race because his wife was about to have a baby.) Cohen is also the team's competition director so I'll list him in the "personnel" section too. undo
