Picadelica,
Picadelica,
Good job on the Spanky and Our Gang article, you made many small changes which greatly improved the piece, in my view.

Wikipedia notes that questionable sources are those with a "poor reputation for checking the facts, or lacking meaningful editorial oversight" and Simmond’s article on Hale contains no external source citations whatsoever. The book is interesting reading, but with no references it seems to rely entirely on rumor and personal opinion-- something that Wikipedia specifically mentions as indicating unreliability. In my view Simmonds is actually indicating that he himself is uncertain of the cause of death when he writes (p. 23): "There have been conflicting verdicts of 'walking' pneumonia or cirrhosis of the liver, though some reports also suggest that he may have died as a result of carbon-monoxide poisoning due to a faulty heater").

My use of the phrase “see Discussion” is not meant to provide verifiability to a statement in the article, I merely wanted to direct readers to a description of the events which led to the deduction of carbon monoxide as a cause of death. I feel that my statement has been helpful to Hale’s many friends and to other extended family members, who were very skeptical of the coroner’s reported cause of death (bronchopneumonia). Malcolm seemed to be in perfect health earlier on the evening of his death. I could not put my statement in the main article as it would be against Wikipedia’s No Original Research policy. I felt there would be no objection to its placement on the talk page.

sources were cited

Hi,

You left me a message about the changes I made on Lauren Graham biography, requesting I cited ressources before making any. The ressource is cited in the article under number 2 where she states in the interview "I'm Irish Catholic", which means that she is still Catholic otherwise she'd have said that she was brought up as such.

Changes to Spanky and Our Gang article

Picadelica, Good job on the Spanky and Our Gang article, you made many small changes which greatly improved the piece, in my view. But I believe the notion that ‘walking’ pneumonia or cirrhosis might be the cause of Hale’s death, as Jeremy Simmond’s book says, is completely unfounded and in the article I removed the citation of Jeremy Simmond’s book , as I feel it does not meet Wikipedia’s verifiability standard for a reliable source WP:QS.
