I propose merging the templates {{Class A}} / {{Class B}} / {{Class C}} / {{Class D}} / {{Class G}} together, as they are mostly identical, except for the letter displayed and background color. They could also gain a more identifiable name since "Class A", "Class B", "Class C", "Class D", "Class G" mean a whole lot of things. I suggest {{Motorsports class tag}} that takes a single parameter, the class name, and outputs the current various square color letters. This will also allow expansion for other classes than these 5, and merging in of other such templates. • Support - all we need is a single template, with one parameter. i.e. {{Motorsports class tag|A}} or {{Motorsports class tag|B}} or whatever the class happens to be. SSSB (talk) 10:41, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

We try to avoid shortenings so short. I think {{motorsports class}} is probably fine. Izno (talk) 20:59, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
