South Monroe is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,468 at the 2020 census. The CDP is located within Monroe Charter Township.

The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.68% White, 2.94% African American, 0.19% Native American, 1.18% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 1.16% from other races, and 1.84% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.42% of the population.
