It is considered one of, if not the best, songs written in the post-Lillywhite era by the band. Known for its deep musical complexity, it contains many instrumental layers, differentiating time signatures, and is considered to be lyrically deep. The song is immensly popular with the fanbase, yet the song is considered a rarity, having been played only 67 times as of [[September 28th]], [[2007]].{{fact}}


A remix was released on 10 December 2016.
The lyrical subject is a return to darker elements that have been mostly absent in post-Lillywhite material. The song deals with the the loss of Dave's father to [[cancer]] in his childhood. Death references rittle the song, yet even with such dark writings, the song has a very positive feel, possibly emphasizing the ability to fight through difficulties and finding the "light."
